Leveraging
Your Leadership
Improving Performance in your Organization by applying Advanced
Leadership Principles
"Leaders walk their talk; in
true leaders, there is no gap between the theories they espouse and their practice." - Warren Bennis
Meetings are by definition a concession to deficient organization. For one either meets or one works. One cannot do both at the same time. In an ideally designed structure
there would
be no meetings. Peter Drucker
Leveraging Your Leadership is
committed to preparing the next wave of senior executives to lead their businesses
successfully into the future. Surveys of top executives have confirmed that
Leadership Skills are the most important factor in a manager's career progress - rated
above intelligence, knowledge or job skills. Today's leadership demands in both private
and public sector business have changed significantly. The purpose of this course is to
provide a systematic leadership experience for targeted senior leaders who play a
significant role in their organization and who are serious about achieving peak
performance in their role as leader, communicator and change agent.
In times of increasing demand for
improving value to all stakeholders, companies realize that the competencies of their
people, and especially managers, are the most important source of competitive advantage.
Think of managerial work as a continuum. At one end is the very capable person who
makes their contribution through knowledge, experience, skills, talent and solid work
habits. At the other end is the effective leader who garners commitment to a
compelling vision, and stimulates their followers to high levels of performance and
achievement. The principles of V.I.P. Leadership (Value-creator,
Independent-thinker, People-Developer) covered in this course will help you shift from
operating as a competent manager to operating as an effective leader.
This Program includes exercises and
a self and 3600 assessment. The assessment enables the participant to
analyze the impact they are currently having on people in relation to the impact they
ideally would like to have, leadership strategies used, and overall effectiveness.
In addition, the participant will have the opportunity to participate in a number of group
sessions with your peers to share experiences and learn different techniques and tools
that will add to your leadership arsenal. This program is designed to create a talent pool
